Undergraduate Academic Honors Ceremony

Sunday, April 21, 2024
Gillmor Student Center Gymnasium

Check-in at 10 to 10:30 a.m.

Tiffin University is proud to celebrate the academic accomplishments of our graduating seniors in all baccalaureate programs. To recognize and celebrate these students for their hard work and dedication to academics, the Academic Honors Ceremony is held annually for baccalaureate degree students, bestowing the Medal of Academic Distinction to those students who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

In addition to academic distinction, Tiffin University recognizes students in each major who have demonstrated the highest excellence in their specific field. The glass flame award is given to graduating students in the baccalaureate program with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Award recipients are chosen by the faculty in the appropriate departments for both their academic performance and for their contribution to learning and life on- and off-campus.

The University Award will also be announced:

  • Student Leadership Award
  • Scholar-Athlete Award
  • Provost’s Award

Hosted by Tiffin University Provost & Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Peter J. Holbrook, this year’s Academic Honors Ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 in the Gillmor Student Center Gymnasium. Each student will be allowed to have two guests attend.

On the day of the ceremony, there will be a livestream of the event so that others may watch.

If you have any questions or need more information, please email Dr. Sandra Geringer at geringersk@sys-filter.com.

If you are unable to attend the April 21 Undergraduate Honors Ceremony, you are able to pick up your medallion and certificate from the Registration Office during normal business hours between April 23 –30. The Registration Office is on the first floor of Seitz Hall.  You may also pick these up the day of commencement on May 4.
